Ortodontisk behandling er ulikt organisert og finansiert i de nordiske landene, og fordelingen av arbeidsoppgaver mellom ortodontist, allmenntannlege og annet tannhelsepersonell varierer også. Hensikten med denne oversikten er å gi en kort beskrivelse av den nordiske utdanning, bemanning og behandling i et europeisk perspektiv som bakgrunn for en diskusjon om allmenntannlegens og resten av tann helseteamets oppgaver i samarbeidet med ortodontisten.
