Keramik i udfordrende kliniske situationer

ABSTRACT

Fokusartikel Dato: 19.02.2019

CERAMIC IN CHALLENGING CLINICAL SITUATIONS
The Special-clinic for Oral Rehabilitation at the Dental School in Copenhagen provides oral rehabilitation of patients with tooth development and mineralization disturbances. Before this the young patients have gone through treatment planning and treatment in the Danish Public Health Service. The restorative treatments need have good functional prognoses and aesthetic outcomes acceptable to the patient. This article considers which new ceramic materials can we use, and how much evidence we need, before we choose the material for young adult patients, where aesthetic and psychological aspects of the appearance means are essential for the patient. This will be discussed, drawing on three cases with different clinical challenges.
